Molybdenum is one of the most well-known and commonly utilized refractory metals, with a melting point of 2622" C (472O"F). Molybdenum wire is employed in various applications that require its particular qualities in the form of wire. During molybdenum coating, a 1/8" molybdenum alloy wire is dissolved by fire in a wire flame spray gun or HVOF gun fire showering and finely pounded on the workpiece with squeezed air.

According to DIN 55928 section 4, the particles in molybdenum coating form a fine to more grounded microporous coating on the workpiece that has been pre-treated by sand blasting machine SA3. By molybdenum coating, the surface becomes exceptionally retentive and can also be corrected for concealed erosion reasons. A porous, oil-retaining covering has crisis-running properties in the hydrodynamics, design, and vehicle industries, but it is not always required.

KW Molybdenum Wire
